Crosstown Routes: Connect suburban areas without going through downtown. The buses come every 30 minutes or better on weekdays and midday on weekends. The rest of the time, they come every 60 mins or better.
Frequent Routes: The buses come every 15 mins or better, at most times of the day and most days of the week.
Rapid/Express Routes: Rapid and express routes are different names for the same type of service. The route numbers end in X, for express. They run every 30 mins or better on weekdays and during midday on weekends. They make fewer stops between the suburbs and central locations.
Local Routes: Local routes connect neighbourhoods to local destinations and other routes. The buses come every 30 minutes or better on weekdays and midday on weekends. The rest of the time they come every 60 minutes or better.
On Demand Transit: On Demand Transit is an accessible shuttle service.You book a ride between set pick up points in 37 neighbourhoods or 16 seniors' residences to designated transit hubs using the Edmonton on Demand Transit app, online or by phone 780-496-2400. From there you can connect to a regular bus or LRT. There are no set routes for On Demand Transit neighbourhoods, only set pick up and drop off locations.
