WE’RE HERE FOR YOU…
BE HERE FOR US!

Stony Plain Road has seen its share of challenges over the last few years. During the pandemic, this neighbourhood rallied to support the businesses — and the PEOPLE — that have made a special place for themselves in this community.

The challenges aren’t over yet. This is a transformative time for Stony Plain Road. The expansion of the Valley Line West LRT line brings tremendous potential: our humble corridor will become a vibrant, accessible, walkable shopping, dining, and business destination for local residents and visitors alike.

But it’s going to take some time to get there. During LRT construction, our businesses need your support. It’s time to RALLY FOR THE ROAD!

This site is your all-in-one stop for progress updates, plus ways you can show your support for the people and places you love that have been there to serve us for years — and make sure they’re around to contribute to our community’s bright future!

Area Vision

Stony Plain Road is no stranger to change. We used to be the main street of our own municipality, Jasper Place. A centre of rapid community growth and entrepreneurial spirit for decades, the place quickly grew from hamlet to village to town. 2024 is the 60th anniversary of Jasper Place’s amalgamation with the City of Edmonton.

Though not without its challenges, Valley Line West expansion also presents an opportunity for Stony Plain Road to re-embrace its roots as a lively, walkable destination for people to shop, dine, work and play.
