Welcoming SPRBA’s Summer Staff!

We're excited to introduce three talented individuals who will be joining SPRBA's staff this summer. We welcome their individual and collective expertise in their supporting roles, and look forward to their contributions for both our organization and members!

Sara Sereda - SPECIAL EVENTS ASSISTANT

Sara - Special Events

Sara found her passion for volunteering at the age of 12 with the Festival of Trees in support of the University Hospital Foundation and CIBC’s Run for the Cure. She was a Co-Director for the For Kids by Kids Benefit Concert raising money for the Stollery, Co-Creative Director for the University of Alberta Hip-Hop Club, and a fundraising executive member of the international competitive dance crew, Cool Giraffes. Sara is also a current board member of UNITED Dance YEG, which provides a platform for the post-secondary dance scene, allowing movement artists the opportunity to further develop their craft. Sara is thrilled to be a part of the Stony Plain Road Business Association to support and create fun and engaging community experiences for the Stony Plain Road area this summer.

Habtom Ghile- MARKETING ASSISTANT

Habtom - Marketing Assistant

Habtom is a fourth-year student at the University of Alberta's Media Studies program. His first introduction to marketing was as an online coach helping people lose weight and build muscle through a virtual fitness program, and has continued to build up his experience and skill set during his studies. Habtom enjoys staying active by playing sports, and watching sports on TV just as much as he spends time on the field. He likes to read up on general history, and unwind by watching comedy programs.

SAMIRA Kabbani - SHOP LOCAL ASSISTANT

Samira is a recent graduate from the University of Alberta, with a degree in Political Science and History. Her goal in life is to become a teacher and mentor youth in whatever they may be striving for. She is also a photographer who enjoys capturing the beauty in the moment, and has two Great Danes she's absolutely in love with. When not taking care of her pups or exploring with a camera hand, you'll likely find her walking in the river valley or sipping on some coffee reading a book! Samira is excited to be able to work alongside many local businesses to strengthen the community and be part of the collaborative efforts of the SPRBA!
